Under Autonomy governance to oversee and manage all the examinations related issues including pre and post examination works till the issue of the Provisional certificate, GMRIT has an Examination Cell headed by Controller of Examinations, Principal being the Chief Controller of Examinations[cite: 1].
Based on the academic calendar, all the schedules related the mid examinations, semester end will be notified from time to time and the examination cell ensure that results are declared on time[cite: 1]. With the support from all the academic departments, exam cell ensure that timely registrations of students for various courses and semesters; conduct of Mid examinations; Conduct of semester end theory and laboratory examination; Nominations of the external examiners wherever needed, Conduct of spot valuation; Announcement of results and issue of the semester grade memos[cite: 1].
The assessment will be based on the performance in the semester-end examinations and / or continuous assessment, carrying marks as specified[cite: 1].
