Building Entrepreneurs is a key performance indicator attributing to the nation’s growth.
GMRIT established the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in the year 2006 with the financial support from AICTE. With a vision to promote entrepreneurship among the students and produce "Job Givers" rather than "Job Seekers," the cell undertakes several activities to inspire and motivate students toward developing the spirit of entrepreneurship.
The institute provides infrastructure and technical support to students having innovative ideas to transform them into new products and services for the betterment of society. The EDC also assists all aspirants with mentoring, planning, and execution of their startup ideas into a real business.

A pool of sponsors, banks, and national agencies guide budding entrepreneurs through the startup journey.
Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) are regularly conducted to nurture abilities and skills. Regular training programs like workshops, guest lectures, and seminars by eminent people from industry and academia are conducted to encourage self-employment as a career option.
