About the Department

The Mechanical Engineering (MECH) Department at GMR Institute of Technology (Deemed to be University) is dedicated to developing proficient engineers with strong foundations in design, manufacturing, and thermal engineering. The department emphasizes quality education, innovation, and research in core and emerging areas of mechanical engineering.

With a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, the department equips students with the skills required to analyze, design, and optimize mechanical systems. Students are prepared to address real-world engineering challenges and contribute to industries such as manufacturing, automotive, energy, and automation, while adapting to modern technological advancements.
