National Cadet Corps(NCC)

Overview

The National Cadet Corps is Youth Wing of Armed Forces with its Headquarters at New Delhi, India. It is available to Schools (Junior Division) and Colleges (Senior Division). National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, involving the Army, Navy and Air Wing, occupied with preparing the young people of the nation into restrained and energetic natives. The National Cadet Corps in India is a willful association that volunteers cadets from secondary schools, universities, and colleges all over India. The Cadets are given fundamental military preparing.

National Cadet Corps in GMRIT was started in 2020. GMRIT NCC unit is under 27 Kerala Battalion, Palakkad under Calicut group Headquarters was established in 2016). The allotted strength of this unit is 53 students and presently we have strength of 53 girl cadets (SW- Senior Wing). Cadets conduct parade and show their excellent display of marching skill at the Independence, Republic days and sports days.
