Overview
Green Eco Club provides a platform on which knowledge about the environment is shared to the students and it promotes the participation of students in learning about and improving their environment.The main aim of Green Eco Club is to create environmental awareness in the society particularly amongst thebudding engineers, the future generation.The club organizes programs and activities to encourage students to reduce pollution, create awareness on waste management, plant trees, and more.
Objectives
To motivate the students to keep their surroundings green and clean by tree plantation.
To motivate students to inculcate habits and lifestyle for minimum waste generation and proper disposal of waste.
To promote awareness on conservation of water by minimizing the use of water.
To sensitize the students to minimize the use of polythene bags.
To organize awareness programmes such as Quiz, essay writing, painting competitions, rallies, seminars etc., on various environmental issues.
To educate students about recycling of waste material and preparation of products out of waste.
To build attitudes to help individuals and social groups acquire a set of values and feelings of concern for environmental improvement and protection.
