Overview
Mathematics has been studied by people of many different cultures and time periods because of the intellectual and practical satisfaction it provides. Some of the enjoyable mathematical activities we partake in include exchanging and solving mathematical puzzles and problems, comparing, and contrasting various answers, and even just taking part in the activity without even trying to solve the difficulties. The goal of the GMR Institute of Technology Math Club is to provide students with a welcoming environment in which to discuss and learn about mathematics from a variety of perspectives.
Objectives
To promote a community of students around a common interest in mathematics.
To allow the students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and see how it may be used in real-world contexts.
To support classroom learning, enrich skills with higher order thinking, and prepare students for various competitions.
To inculcate the habit of self-study and independent work among the students.
